HISTORY

Founded in 1986 as a non-profit, The Agricultural Heritage Center, INC., has grown from a collection of antique farm equipment to “Preserve the Past for Future Generations” into what our mission is today.  In 2018, we changed our name to incorporate our broader spectrum of programs with our partners into The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center.

OUR PARTNERS

Hill Country Council for The Arts (HCCArts)
Promotes and enhances the Arts in the Texas Hill Country. HCCArts is supported through memberships, generous donations from businesses and individuals, and local foundation grants. Events are put on during the year include the popular Boerne Bierfest and The Art Waddle.

Girl With Grit
Girl with Grit provides opportunities for youth, adults, and those in need of independent living skills to get skills such as sewing and carpentry to cooking which can help develop more independence. Without these skills, one can be held back from careers, hobbies, passions, interests, and just plain life.

The AgriCultural Museum
Displays antique farming equipment, tractors,
implements, and tools. There is a working blacksmith shop, woodshop, pioneer house, and large red barn showcasing the collection. We host bluegrass jams on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month and we offer classes in Dutch Oven Cooking and Blacksmithing. Three Antique Tractor Pulls take place every year and our main fundraiser is the Boerne Spooktacular in October.

Bluegrass Jams every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
This event is free to the public.

The mission of The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center is to foster the creation and appreciation of the fine arts, and heritage of the Texas Hill Country, through educational and diverse programs.
