Please Note: The show will go on even if there is a light rain in the morning. The current forecast shows that that may happen. Then by 10 am it shows that the sun will come our and it will be beautiful! Possible rain chance after 2:00 pm.  

• You are welcome to bring a canopy and set up a space on a grassy area of the museum that doesn’t interfere with the show exhibits.

• There are also several buildings on the property where you can find seating and tables.

Antique Tractors and Engines Please note:
Antique Tractors and Engines do not need to preregister or pay for entry.
You will fill out a form at the Registration table at the event on Saturday, March 7th.
Trailer parking will be available across the street from the AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center.
Follow parking signs along the street on March 7th.

Top 30 Cars & Trucks get trophies. Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck.

Awards for Best Restored Tractor, Most Unique Tractor, Best Antique Engine,Most Unique Engine,
Best Lawn & Garden, Best Recreational Antique, & Best of Show Agricultural Equipment.

Judge’s Scoring Sheet for Vehicles:
Exterior: Body, Paint, Bright Work, Tire/Wheels

Interior: Hardware, Upholstery, Flooring

Engine: Cleanliness, Paint, Assembly Details

Bonus Points: Fire Extinguisher, First Aid Kit, Display

 

 

Here’s how it works:

You start with a valve cover from any automotive engine, add some sort of chassis and wheels and creative customization and then allow gravity to race it down a track.

THE CARS:

 – 30” Maximum Overall Car Length 

– 10” Maximum Total Height 

– 10” Maximum Total Width (including wheels) 

– 10 LBS Maximum Total Weight by Our Scale 

– No Engines or Propulsion of Any Kind  

– No Moving Weights 

– Covers Must Have 4 Wheels (Inside or Outside), Each Wheel 6” Diameter Max

– Wheels Must Have a Non-Metallic Surface Contacting the Track  

– Covers Shall Be Based on an Actual Rocker Cover from A Car/Truck Engine 

– Nothing Shall Extend Beyond the Gasket Surface on The Front of the Cover 

– Covers Must Have a Permanent Number Affixed 

– The Cover Can Have a Chassis, But Cannot Be Interchanged with Any Other Body After Being Registered 

– The Cover Must Be Clean. If It Drips, You Lose

THE RACES:

 

– The Track will consist of 2 Lanes

– The Driver will release their own Cover on the Green Light.  If you Jump the Light, you will lose that round

– If a Cover Interferes with the Opponent Cover during the race, you lose that round 

– If a Cover crosses the Center Line, You lose that round 

– If a Cover is hampered by a track issue, they will receive a Re-Run

– If neither Cover makes it to the finish line,  the Cover that makes it the farthest is declared the Winner 

– The Finish Line Judge’s decision Is Final

Celebrate 40 years of The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center on March 7, 2026 from 10 am – 4 pm. Enjoy a vintage car, engine, and tractor show! The Power of The Past event showcases historic engines from antique tractors to vintage hot rods and old farm trucks. Public entry is free and a donation to The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center is welcomed.

 

 The Agricultural Heritage Center, Inc. 501 (c)3 organization was started in 1986 on 5 acres in Boerne City Park to preserve the past for future generations during The Texas Sesquicentennial. It has grown over the years to include an art education classroom with a partnership with Hill Country Council for The Arts.

 

There will be live music on stage by The Flashbacks band performing classic dance rock!  Inside the pioneer house, listen to the bluegrass jam.

 

Come hungry and enjoy the food trucks including: Johnny Naan’s Pizza, Stoltze’s BBQ and craft beer by Cibolo Creek Brewing, Co.  Want something to take home to remember the day? Get your personalized drawing by Texas’ official character artist, Jerry Cardona. The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center will also be selling 40th anniversary t-shirts at the event.

 

Re-enactors from the Frontier History Company Foundation will be representing their organization with turn of the century Texas pioneer life. A blacksmith demonstration will continue all day in the blacksmith shop. Visitors will want to tour the Big Red Barn to see the collections of historic farming equipment, tools, and an extensive display of vintage farm toys.

 

All vehicles 40 years and older may registration prior to the event date or the morning of the show. There will be trophies for Top 30 Vehicles, Best in Show Car, & Best in Show Truck.   Every car registration gets a t-shirt!
